Providing fast broadband access for the rural Fylde and Lancashire
Developed by a veteran network engineer of over 20 years, salwick.net will allow the Fylde and Lancashire communities to communicate, collaborate, measure/monitor and entertain themselves. Currently, Salwick and the surrounding rural areas are severely underserved by telecom operators. The only service available to most premises is Openreach based ADSL. Most of the homes and businesses in the area are unable to achieve the expected “Standard” speeds (above 8Mbps) and a great many cannot achieve above 2Mbps – which renders the services nearly unusable with modern applications.
Request A QuoteBusinesses are unable to flourish in the area because of bandwidth constraints and families are unable to access many of the services that their urban counterparts take for granted. Modern life relies on the ability to communicate through digital channels and Salwick.net hopes to allow the most underserved inhabitants of the area to participate online and break through the digital divide

Video quality | Netflix recomendations |
---|---|
SD (480p) | 3Mbps |
HD (720p) | 5Mbps |
Ultra HD/4K (2160p) | 25Mbps |
